A little update.
BDZ class 77 performed perfectly on the track.
The drive is similar to the Bull Ant drive - motor mounted on the bogie, only one powered bogie.
The tests with cardans and 2 powered bogies showed some problems, the model was not running well, it was tilting during running.
So the one powered bogie provides better handling of the models, pulls the wagons without problems and there is enough space inside the locomotive for a decoder.
Here is a video - sorry for the quality but my camera is broken and this is all i could film with my tablet.
https://www.facebook.com/maketiidiorami ... 862626063/

The curves are R249mm and R150mm - Kato Unitrack

Now about class 75 - this weekend i decided to paint one of the bodies to see the end result and i think the model looks very good

Verry nice! :pro:

Now I have to think about which version I prefer for my railway: this one or the D5...

...wow, looks great and seems to run on far to narrow curves.
As I'm quite a sound freak, what is your opinion on having an original sound in the locos? Would this be interesting for you (only)? Anybody else?
And is there a chance of getting some good sound samples in order to work on a project. If there is enough interest, I would be happy to help.

You won´t get mine for such things
but it would be fun as long as there´s a digital one around...

Hi EpocheIV
the original sound of the loco can be recorded, but in the summer of 2016.
I can arrange someone to record them.

Peter, actually the locomotive on the photos and the video is your 77
which is already on the way to you.
I have made 5 pcs. class 77, 4 of them are for gerhard and his friends, the 5th one is yours.

As to the curves. the curves on the video are 249mm and everything is ok.
All locomotives can go around Kato CV1 oval (R 150mm) without a problem.
But 77 and 75 need at least 180mm radius to pull the waggons. For R smaller than 180mm the coupling on the loco needs some modification.
For the diesel switcher class 81 the is no problem with all curves. It moves around R150mm with the waggons perfectly.

Class 75 and 77 are with Piko electric plate from the hobby locos, which is with 8-pin socket for decoder.

Hi Slav, hi Epoche IV!

I´m looking forwards to see this beauty in real on my tracks - and my tightest radii are about 300mm, so everything should be fine

Thansk for the decoder-socket, so at least I can le her go on DCC-tracks too - but in silence :-)

..and Slavo,
curves of 600mm are already "very" thight for my understanding, so no worry about your 300mm
So let's write about the details of recording on PN's, no worry, things like that always take time if it shall be done the right way.
I wish all good luck for the new year 2016!
